'ZEBO is friendliness and artful leisure. It's small town dining with a dramatic Pacific Ocean view. At ’ZEBO, located at the Elk Cove Inn & Spa, you'll find table linens, porcelain dinnerware, candles softly glowing, a full bar, and you can wear your jeans. We serve satisfying portions of new American cuisine — meats, seafood, fresh greens, pastas, delectable desserts-whose fresh, ingredients call this area home.
In the fall of 2003, Mendocino County voted to go GMO—free (free of Genetically Modified Organisms), and 'ZEBO supports that effort, along with our local fisher folk, organic farmers, wild food foragers, and food artisans. Our fowl and beef are free-range and hormone-free. It's not only healthier, it's delicious, and more satisfying to the senses.
Our 2008 Chef de Maison, Kristy Wilson, believes that with her skills, the natural beauty, intimate, ocean view dining room, fresh, organic ingredients and local wines meld to form a perfect blend of relaxation and enjoyment. She bakes her own fresh artisan breads daily to complement generous salads of fresh greens that still speak of their morning in the garden. And she's perfected house made pasta and desserts that add to the menu's essence of freshness and care.
 Chef Kristy's menu combines the zest and freshness of regional dishes with a robust infusion of mouth-watering , exotic worldwide flavors, making for well-rounded, enjoyable meals.
As a salute to our location in California's premium wine region, on the Pacific edge of Mendocino county, and neighboring Sonoma and Napa counties, we promote this abundant diversity in our wine list. We carry a range of beautiful boutique wines, with a broad variety of weekly selections available by the glass.
You don’t have to stay at the Elk Cove Inn to enjoy ’ZEBO. You’ll
find locals at our tables, connoisseurs of the local scene, along with
travelers from all over. But it’s so nice to tumble off to bed after a
memorable meal without having to get into a car. Visit our rooms,
if you’re tempted . As a guest you can take a last glass of port or cognac to the privacy of your room for a quiet conversation, or a moonlight meditation in the gazebo for which your dining experience was named.
