New Years on the North Coast” - 5 of 5 starsReviewed January 14 (Trip Advisor)

My girlfriend and I did a trip up to the North Coast for a couple days after New Years, and we stayed at the Elk Cove Inn & Spa. Must say, everything was excellent. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, sitting on a bluff overlooking the ocean, with plenty of places in the garden to sit and watch the sunset, and a path down to the beach for a walk on the sand. The Inn itself is very nice, and our room was great (we were in the older house)- had a nice view of the ocean and we could hear the waves crashing on the rocks when we left the window open. Staff were pleasant and very helpful, taking time to learn our names, but without being overbearing. The breakfast is well catered - everything was excellent, with lots of proportions and variety. But it was the little touches that surprised us: the happy hour with complimentary wine and snacks, the basket in the room with a bottle of wine and chocolate cookies, and the decanter of port. All in all, highly recommend. It was a great way to ring in the New Year.

Room Tip: They have a garden view room at a very good value, and there's are lots of spaces in the garden to sit and watch the ocean.

"My husband, Jared and I recently stayed with the Inn at the end of August for our honeymoon. We wanted to share this picture that Jared took from the porch outside of our room. We set up a little picnic and the view was gorgeous with the clear day. We hope to see you again! Thank you so much for your hospitality and generosity!" Dana Reed
